All are invited to attend the RED DRESS DAY – a day for raising awareness of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit persons.
The day begins with a Remembrance Circle & Honoring Ceremony for the missing Indigenous persons. A panel of Indigenous women will then discuss AB1314 legislation – a law to establish a statewide emergency alert system for missing
Native people. Family members who have lost a loved one will speak about their experiences.
The event features a Red Dress exhibit, a drum circle, songs, stories, and an Indigenous lunch prepared with love by the fabulous fry bread sisters. The day ends with a raffle and silent auction.
