We have grown from one small group to fostering nine all volunteer local action groups in Monterey County cities and two thriving regional projects, and boast thousands of online and mailing list members. We collectively provide over 9,000 reported hours of volunteer work each year. We’re a network of active people who share a passion for thinking globally and working locally to promote clean and green values: renewable energy, clean water, resource conservation, waste reduction and reuse, community gardens, and a robust cooperative economy. We also support land-use policies that reduce sprawl, preserve open space, and create compact, walkable urban communities.
