WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
UC Master Gardeners of Monterey & Santa Cruz Counties invite our local community to join us to learn regenerative soil techniques that you can add to your gardening bag of tricks.
Growing healthy soil helps the home gardener grow vibrant veggies and herbs, bountiful fruit trees and gorgeous flowers.
We will summarize what makes a soil regenerative, and demonstrate proven techniques such as cover cropping, vermicompost, lasagna beds, and straw bale gardening.
Complete a circuit of challenges throughout Seaside parks: Durant, Farallones, Capra, Beta. Activities will end at Beta Park with raffle prizes and light snacks!

Learn about plants and pollinators with Friends of Seaside Parks. Get outside, meet your neighbors, have fun!
Volunteer with the Friends of Seaside Parks Association (FOSPA) and Seaside community to create native pollinator habitat and beautify our parks! Learn about native plants and pollinators, rainwater harvesting, and soil science while building community!
