Science Saturday at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History is a free, family-friendly monthly event featuring hands-on science activities, crafts, games, and special themed exhibits. Science Saturdays are held on the last Saturday of every month, during the academic year, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
- Cost: Free admission to both the event and the museum itself.
- Audience: Designed for all ages, with most interactive activities geared toward children from preschool through 8th grade, though older kids and adults are welcome.
- Monthly Themes: Each month explores a different topic in natural science or local ecology. Past themes include Microworld (microscopic plants and animals), Biodiversity Blast (Central Coast ecosystems), Monarch Magic!, Reptile Revelry, and Sandy’s Birthday Party celebrating the museum’s gray whale skeleton.
- Activities: Visitors can participate in themed crafts, games, specimen exploration from special collections, and activities hosted by community science partners.
