Citizens for Sustainable Marina (C4SM) and community partner organizations invite the public to this wonderful Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his legacy as a champion of civil rights!

Warm weather location: Locke Paddon Park, MLK Jr. Sculpture Garden outside the Marina Library, 190 Seaside Circle, Marina, CA
Cold weather moves this event to Rocky Han Community Center, 211 Hillcrest Ave., Marina, CA
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm: Monterey County Pops Orchestra will perform a beautiful concert composed by African Americans.
11:30 am to 12:15 pm: A southern lunch will be provided free to the first 250 guests and is catered by Marina’s own Kona Jerry. Lunch will include fried chicken, red beans and rice, cornbread, and salad.
12:15 to 12:30 pm: An inspiring ceremony will feature 3 speakers: Kamilah Magied and Phuong Nguyen (both CSUMB professors), and Steve Zmak of Marina.
